Subsidized transportation for Intel Tours is a grant to Oregon and Washington school districts to offset transportation costs to the Intel Oregon Information Center. The funding is provided by annual grants by the Intel Corporation and are administered by the NWRESD Technology Department.

The Intel Oregon Information Center (IOIC) helps explain the "High Tech" world and Oregon site operations for students, while exciting them about the many opportunities found with the semiconductor industry.

Teachers of 5th grade and above are invited to bring students for a tour of the Intel Oregon Information Center. Spend a couple of hours learning about Intel and new technology. During the tour students learn about microprocessors; how they work, are made and used.  Take a look at our Exhibits page to learn about our current tour exhibits and activities.  In addition, they will see how computers change lives and how they will be used in the future.  Students begin to visualize themselves as the next generation of engineers who design and create the future world of technology.

Bus Transportation Reimbursement:  Intel subsidizes bus transportation with grants (up to $500 per trip) arranged through the Northwest Regional Education Service District.  

1. Once you receive the letter or email with your confirmation number, contact Andrea at (503) 614-1410 or akeifer@nwresd.k12.or.us
2. Schedule your bus transportation following your school district’s guidelines.  
3. When you have completed the tour and receive the invoice, send it to Andrea at the NWRESD.  Please include your name, school name, and confirmation number.
